Downtown Greenville now has a one-of-a-kind retail store
— Michelin on Main, which saw its first customers in a “soft” opening Monday.

Architect and project manager Chris Stone, who is with Neal Prince + Partners, said Greenville hasn’t seen this type of retail space before.

“It’s a lot more than a retail space” — it’s what visitors would expect to see in New York or Europe, he said.

The soft opening allows staff to become familiar with the store for the grand opening Oct. 12 in conjunction with Fall for Greenville.
