The company that developed The Terrace at RiverPlace now lives there.

Greenville-based Allora LLC has moved its headquarters to The Terrace, which is the fifth building within RiverPlace in downtown Greenville.

The 130,000-square-foot building is also the second RiverPlace project developed by Allora. The company partnered with Hughes Real Estate and Creative Builders for the Terrace project.

Along with 27 condos, the building contains retail and office space.

Chad Cousins, chief operating officer of Allora, said being downtown in The Terrace "really helps us kind of celebrate our diversification from luxury single family residential architecture and construction, and moving in establishing ourselves in the space of high-end vertical living and mixed-use development" in downtown Greenville.

He added, "I think just being here helps us be more in touch with the work we're performing downtown."

Cousins said the company's new base offers room for growth in its architectural departments and in its project management services, as Allora looks to take on new and larger projects in the community.

"We're looking at a number of additional projects over the next several years that we hope to be involved in, working with both the city and other construction and development partnerships," he said.

Allora, a Donald A. Gardner Architects Inc. sister company, has designed and built luxury single-family houses in communities like The Cliffs and high-end resort developments.

Allora offers design and construction of multi-family residences, amenity facilities, light commercial projects, and resort/community planning and development.

The company developed and designed the 155 RiverPlace condo building. Its local projects also include The Edge at North Main and The East Broad Street condo complex being constructed in Spartanburg.

Allora is also working with Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa on a project called "The Fitzgerald" in Asheville.

"We're involved with some other local and regional developers in future projects where we're either in at the design architecture level or as a potential developer," Cousins said. "We think the future's bright obviously here in downtown Greenville and in the region."
